'I think I'm rewarding myself for achieving something'. 'I have tried everything and 'given up' trying to loose weight, thought I'd try therapy'. 'My parents were overweight and I have accepted I will be too'
These are some of the statements I hear from clients quite often, do you see a pattern? I see a negative acceptance loop that isn't serving the client. I have found over the years that one of the main issues for sudden or chronic weight gain, originates with a stress event or trauma of varying degree. This can lead to the mind swinging towards reward / pleasure / protection mode, resulting in binge eating or choosing the wrong types of food.
Obviously, portion sizes, balanced meals, timing and physical fitness will play a large role in returning the body to your desirable shape. But how do you get there? Furthermore how do you integrate this new relationship habit with food into your life long-term?
This is where hypnosis can help. I believe that suggestion hypnotherapy that is agreeable and accepted by you, can be a very powerful tool to 're-wire' your mind. I have but one ask before you book an appointment though....A mindset that you will succeed this time....I will do the rest.
